Hello!
I am so busy! Wish I could post more. The one day off I had, I went surfing... soo.. :D

I am doing well! Camp life... just awesome as usual! My boys are getting the hang of things around here and all is going smoothly! We Just finished a big 4 camp week. Today we have the Single Moms family camp starting. Junior Sailing started yesterday! Next weekend is staff retreat... and it will be well needed.

I have 14 boys in total that i have to watch over. I can't confirm it but I think all but 2 have asked Jesus into their hearts! This excites me! I have 2 to really work on this summer!!

Prayer request for me? Strength... I am so tired and weak right now. My 2 unsaved boys. Relationships with the staff I don't get along with so well. Praise items... kids are being saved at Homewood this year! We've heard it from our councillors. Even if one or two is all we get this summer... it is a worthwhile summer!

Who I am

Hello, my name is Joshua Geddert. I am the Assistant Program Director at a Christian children's camp called Camp Homewood, located on Quadra Island. Our goal at Homewood is to "...present the Love of God and the claims of Christ..." In case you're wondering, yes, we do operate year round. Our way about camp just changes a little bit in the winter months. In the summer we're an exceptional Summer Camp... and we have Sailboats, Horses, the ocean, and a freshwater lake.

I was born in Kelowna BC, but I grew up in Kamloops BC. Born into the best Christian family possible, I was raised as a pastors kid and now a missionaries son. I have been working in camp ministry since I moved out at 17. I truly believe God has called me to this place right now and i'm going to use the talents He gave me to effect the kids and parents that come to Homewood. By His strength and might, I will give my all to glorify His name.

How You Can Support Me

First off you can support me through your prayers. At Homewood there a lot of needs. The need for staff during the year, the need for campers, the need for staff who are willing and unafraid to talk to campers about God, and the need for campers who are willing to open up. Staff unity. Safety. Health. Growth... the list goes on.

Secondly. You can support us(Homewood and Myself) financially. Of course I was going to bring it up. Let's be honest, a lot of the large scale stuff going on at Homewood involves money. Where does that come from? Donators and tithe givers like you and me! Search your heart! Ask God! If God wants you to give then do it, and do it with a cheerful heart.
