A little school paper i wrote haha a mixure of writing and biology yay!

A little bit of digestion

I take a bite of my savoury spaghetti and the warm tomato sauce makes love to my taste buds. I then chew it by using my teeth as grinders, it leaves the spaghetti chopped and decimated on my tongue, but this still is not enough. The food is sticky and won’t go down, this is where the saliva glands kick in and drench the food until it becomes a ball of sloppy goodness called bolus. My tongue now pushes the bolus to the back of the throat called the pharynx, where the food is prepared for its descent to the depths below. This is a traumatic time for the bolus because it is about to cross the line of no return, if the stomach accepts it, it will never see its home, the throat again. After a slight second of exhilaration, like being at the top of a roller coaster, the bolus plunges down past the epiglottis which is covering the windpipe. It is a bumpy ride now because two sets of involuntary muscles force the food down the esophagus to the stomach by contracting. This process is called peristalsis. In the esophagus and the stomach most of the nutrients are sucked out of the food. Peristalsis also controls the lower digestive tract so that the food can properly get to its final destination and I bet you can guess where that is. This is all in a few minutes work and the body puts up with this a lot in one day so chew slowly and watch what you eat.

Today Worship was amazingly played, but also amazingly sung, but also amazingly written, but also, and most importantly amazingly worshipped.

After waking up at 7:30 to Ryan C knocking at my door saying it was time to go... me and matt got ready in about 8 ish minutes and were still down at the church early... with no breakfast. ehe
Practice was... interesting... being the responsible one hahah, obviously i was doing every thing right and everyone elses brains were messed up. I like to think that's what happened.
Everyone got their brains sorted out by 10 though.
It was a big band today... which was filling... kinda sounds like i ate them eh? well I DID!!!

I cleaned and sort ah rearranged my room tonight which made me happy. very.
Tommorow i will be back on schedule...

I need to buy some hangy thingys so my guitars can go on my walls... does anyone know where to get them or is long and mcquade my best bet. I am also in the lookings for a Harmonica.... ....................................... Yeeees

I work 2 days this week, Thurs, and Tues.. yes that was backwards... 7 at night to 2 in the afternoon... yeeeees... hihe*ghflehgm

This upcoming sunday night... Sport Chek is having a floor hockey night... which i will be gladly attending.

I DONT WANNA POST!!!!!

Me

I forgot to tell you that my last post was my 50th which is exciting.

I can't even describe to you how tired i am right now.
getting up at 7, 3 days in a row, 9 hours of 1st aid course 2 days in a row, Work from 8-2 this morning and then a mandatory meating from 7-9... at least i got paid for it for 3 hours.
The reason this meating was soo mandatory is because our store is going through a lot of changes right now. I found out that in June Commission is done... HECK YES... SWEET Az...
and all those amazing celebrations.

Basically this means i will get a rase that will stay a fixed rate. And now i wont have to compete with any one for sales and i can actually be happy.

I would just like to say though... it may sound like i am rapped up in my job... but i'm not.

They have just scheduled me for some hours that go over my quota i will be cutting back for the next couple months. wow. I work 25 hours this week that is way too much.

I love the Job, I like the money i get from it... but it's a job, it wont last and most of all money will most deffinetly not bring ultimate happiness only God will... speaking of God..

I walked home in the dark from this meating tonight and had a one on one conversation with God... none of this Dear God... PLease help this... and Help me be a good little christian... Pfffff

This was a buddy on buddy talk... i found myself actually talking outloud as loud as i talk to you or you... but this was to no physical person... this was spiritual ... one of the best talks of my life. made me happy... funny how God can do that.

Anyways... Today was AMAZING!!! with tonnes of emphasis... and did you know a tonne ways 2000 pounds and in the plural form it ways much more... that's a lot of emphasis.
I worked from 8-2 brought home 2 new pairs of shoes hahahaha... it's ok i needed them... i threw away all my old ones. That's the one bad part about my job... it makes me want to buy stuff hahaha.
Matt came over right after that... And we made a video for liz to take with her to camp... it took hours... top secret but we had an amazing time shooting it...hahaha.
I told him it should go on youtube or facebook but... he said no and i am the one with the video soo i am pondering showing it.haha... but not without his consent.

Matt i love you if you're reading this.... you's one of my favourite peoples...

Soo yes shoes make me happy especially when i find a pair that actually fits my feet and is comfy... i am farely picky about my shoes.

Another thing that makes me happy is close friends whom i talk to all the time... and can share my sorrows and joys with. I wouldn't make it if i didn't think about you all day! Thank you for reading my blog, even if it's boring sometimes.

Camp

Well my friends. Through all the amazing exciting things happening this summer.
I just decided today to go to camp for 20 days.


Which is insane seing as everything i have up.
It will be gone from August 2-22. I will be back on weekends.

Hhhh... that was a tiring decision to make.

WEll.. I work 10:30-7... soo there goes my full day. wow.


This afternoon was INSANE!! but i don't have time for that, maybe later... unless Matt.m blogs about it like i told him to.
Went to focus club tonight. was pretty fun, last one for a while.
Then watched Jackie Chan. Not the best, but all jackies have there good parts.


Next weekend I have the first aid course with matt, 10 hours 2 days in a row. HOLY CRAP.
Our cousins are also here that weekend for the BC Championships trampoline/gymnastics...
Which i will be watching in my meager spare time.

HHH. Bogged down and tired.

Is it just me or have the last few days been really busy. Not busy but just things that take up my time. K i guess that's pretty much the deffinition of busy but w.e. that's not the point.

I haven't had time to even sit down and have a desint chat with anyone. Not even my family which is terrible.
I have school, then work in the awkwardist places. Then theres youth/church stuff which is deffinetly not a waste of my time i love the sort.

Tommorow there is supposed to be a music video filming thing at pauls house. Rock Band.

I decided not to go because i need to spend some time with parents, who i see a lot but don't actually SEE, if you know what i mean. They are just there because they live in there house which i happen to be residing in and getting provided for hmmmmm.

But yes... i haven't had time to blog... which is good because my post are lame anyways... and no one finds them interesting... i was going to post about what i learned about Giraffes, my favourite animal by the way. but that would have taken a while, soo i'll save it.

I haven't had time to msn, which is good...it should never take up too much time.
Other than a quick and fake "hello, how are you" " fine how are you" "fine how are you"
and sooo on. That is an exageration but w.e. I enjoy every bit of when my friends talk to me... even if i don't actually know it's them because there words are floating in cyberspace.


Tommorow work 12-6:30 loads of school before that which is good for once... i need a challenge
Then i will spend the evening doing family things with familyish people and it will be worth it.
Thereofore do not expect me on here tommorow at anytime. Please give me an email though.
They always brighten my day. (i will come for 2 seconds when i get home to check but no more.)

On Friday i am going to focus club and have made up my mind about that soo don't tell me otherwise.
I memorized my verse which i am happy about 2 Timothy 4 1-7

Bible study tonight was fun. The game was fun, worship practice before hand was all right. I can't wait to play our special song.
But Galations 5 is a good chapter and Ryan did it well... I did learn even if i was talking with Matt for a few minutes. I liked prayer tonight.
I have this thing about praying out loud... i will do it once in a while... but i would rather have a private conversation with my friend up there. That's like one of your friends listening to your private phone conversation... crappy.
Prayers should be an intimate time with God and out loud just puts you on the spot... and it's too hard to make your prayers too ilaborate and fancy because Huh...what will they think of me if i pray "wrong" WOW.

I also have gotton into a habit of praying on my knees, which is good... kinda wierd looking but i feel it is humbling and gives honour to God because you are kneeling before him like he is your king (which he is).

Soo got up at 6.. went on a bike ride with my Dad... up above aberdeen.

And froze my butt off coming down seeing as it was minus 1 this whole time.

I enjoy doing stuff with my Dad... very much.

Paintball got cancelled and i spent 4 hours in front of a tv while i would have rather spent those hours outside.

Well then i was in a bad mood.

Got home. had some food. and went on a bike ride to let out some steam.
Got to the top of aberdeen and took some pictures of the beautiful kamloops on this beautiful spring day.

Just a recap of the events of my day

Soo today is saturday... i got up at 9:30.

Got ready for my day. *ring.. phone call... "Um Josh.. would you mine staying home from work today. it's not too busy and we've got staff"

HECK YES!

Soo that made me happy...

I did an amazing amount of chores this morning which made me happy.

Then i went to the mall with a little list of things to do... got them all done and fortunetly or unfortunetly came back with 3 bags more than i wanted. HA}

No i needed to buy some laces... i broke one at floor hockey last night.

I ended up buying some work shorts.. that i needed. Cacky cargo shorts.
Laces.

A new belt from West 49. yay!

And my favourite of all.

SOO AMAZING.. unfortunetly i am branging. soo.. get over it.
It came with a dvd and a cd.. the cd is live and the dvd has a live performance in Philadelphia.
Plus some music videos.

I have been watching it all day. I have to say i like them better recorded but.. most bands are like that.

I learned a bit about them though soo.

Soo..

Well.. today i worked at 12-5 it was pretty good. better than pretty good

I brought my bike cuz it was falling apart. fixed it.

Afterwards i bought a new monthly bus pass.

Then had some supper and went and watched Be kind Rewind... downtown haha .. it was pretty funny.


Tommorow. Teen class. SHould be good. Tennis.. will be fun.

I still haven't decided if i am going to floor hockey or focus club. I will probly end up going to floor hockey.

There are tonnes of weeks for focus club.

Driving was amazing today. I am pretty pro and excited to get out again.

School.. well.. it's school what can i say.

As part of part 2 of lanny day.. i took him for the longest bike ride ever.. hit some jumps haha.
Then we came home had popcorn, freezies, and played some PS2... which he got pretty frustraited at because his storm trooper wouldn't stop looking at the ground haha.

Then i lazed around for a bit... had supper. and frustrated.. went to the canucks game at behn's house. Which they blew a 2-0 lead to lose 4-2... arrrggg.


Tommorow school, maybe go for a bike ride by myself and listen for God up in the hills of aberdeen... mhm. Then Youth, fruits of the spirit. Love.
