Leaving

Alright humans... followers of my blog... friends....
I have news.
Great and marvelous news.
I am leaving.
Going back to camp.
I will be leaving for missions fest on the 7th of January and I wont be returning.
I will be at Camp Homewood on Quadra Island till I become a man... or till I feel I have served God enough to get into heaven. Kidding.
I will be there for a few months, probably until September.
I am excited which means you should be excited for me! :)
Please pray for me and think of me often!

And say "That Josh character... he was cool.... why isn't he here? Oh... because he is doing something with his life...right... ya... too bad he waisted his life helping people and not himself."
K... say that!

I will still be updating my blog ever soo often... soo... keep watching.
I might even find a fancy name for it, like all you cool bloggers out there.
something cool like... "Causality In Question"... or "A Didactive Delirium" or "Reading Between The Lines"... all very ....scene ...blog names :P
I am not smart enough for those kind of names.... I don't even know what Didactive or Causality even mean... well I do now because I just Wiki'd them.
maybe something like "Acabo de excrementar mis pantalones" suits my style more.

Fancy Shmancy

I want to be a fancy chef.

For my work Christmas party we went to the South Thompson Guest Ranch and had dinner at the restaurant called Madisens. I have never seen such expensive meals in my life. The names sounded expensive... the dishes looked expensive... the food even tasted expensive. The smaller the portion size... the more expensive you can make it! That's the way they work. haha.
Soo.. we got our menus.. they were smaller menus just us... because I didnt know half of the things on the menu anyways it was easier... I would have been there an hour deciding... wait a sec... it took two hours for us to get our entrees hahaha. Soo I dressed a little classy not expecting to be in a super nice restaurant but oh was I surprised.

I started off with a cheap starter...
Crispy Duck Spring Roll with Papaya Chutney and a spicy Vegetable slaw! 14$
A glass of white wine. 12$

Then moved on... ya.. I didnt have white wine... but I wanted some....

The entree I picked was just the most familiar to me...

Medium Rare Beef Tenderloin and Lobster Tail with Jus, Horseradish cream and Lobster Bisque Sauce. a few Asparagus for color. 40$

Two glasses of the always tasty Pepsi Cola... yes.. high class, I know. 2.49$ I had had a ginger beer before the meal soo.. that was my classy drink.

The Dessert... holy monkeys... This whole meal came down to the dessert... I had my eye on this from the beginning of the meal... and knew it would make up for any sort of crispy duck or lobster tail that had gone wrong. Which surprisingly... did not go wrong.

Dark Belgian Chocolate Pate with a Honey Roasted Bosc Pear. 10$

The total before the tip and not including 2 bottles of water 66.49$ (without Alcohol)

Soo I was spoiled... definitely didn't have to pay a cent!

My ratings... out of 10... of all the food I have tasted in my life. I will give you a sample so you know where I am coming from.
10 being tasting amazing, 1 being bad gaging... possible spit up.
McDonald's Double Cheeseburger. 7 1/2
Mothers Homemade Stroganoff 10
Tofu 1
Broccoli 3 1/2

Duck Spring Roll 6... crispy but too spring rolly
Vegi Slaw 4 a little too spicy

Beef Tenderloin 9 1/2
Lobster Tail Jus 2... hate seafood.

Honey Roasted Bosc Pear 8... very... cinnaminny

I am dressed up and ready to go to a Christmas party tonight! It is going to be a boozfest... excluding me... weh. I am missing so much right? not...


Christmas is almost here. I am happy for babies... er.. baby... er... Jesus....ya

We have a table tennis table. mmmhm. Soon I will become like the Asians.

I have said it before and I will say it again. I HATE xmas!
Shopping.
Thinking of gift ideas... gifts that people probly don't need but I want them to have. Or they want.
Red and Green. Mainly the two shades that resemble Xmas.
Santa. seriously. who wants a gift from an old fat guy in his pajamas. sick!
Bells. wow. I can't say enough terrible things about what they do to my ears.
Mistletoe. wellllll.... that's not soo bad. ;P

Christmas. Christmas my friends is what its all about.None of this xmas hullabaloo.
The Babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, in a manger. Our Lord Jesus Christ who was born to die.
The entire basis of my world view and my beliefs. I hear people singing Christmas carols and I think about how probly over 50% of Kamloopsians don't even know what they are singing about.
I love giving gifts! yes I hate looking for them :D but the feeling of sacrificing something of my own...(aka my money and the time and effort)... is amazing. It is the least of things that I could sacrifice, by far.

Soo today I had a bloody nose...
I didnt stop it though...
I just.. watched.. the blood fall from my nose... into the sink... it was cool!
